A 1 year English Bull Terrier
Wally, a sweet young puppy, exhibits some concerning behaviours that need prompt attention. Despite having an older brother, he hasn't learned to curb his nipping and biting tendencies, which is worrisome given his increasing size.
Wallace's excitable and frustrated behaviour includes growling and occasional biting, posing a risk of dog fights. His excessive excitement leads to jumping up during interactions. Additionally, he struggles with leash pulling and selective hearing during recall commands on walks. Addressing these issues is crucial to prevent loss of control and ensure a more settled and calmer young Wally.
Wallace has successfully socialized with other pets and people, evidenced by the absence of chasing behaviours towards cars and squirrels. There is now effective food control. The habit of jumping on people has notably reduced, with a positive response to the command 'OFF', even in counter surfing situations. Overly excited behaviour has significantly diminished. His recall is evident both indoors and outdoors has improved significantly almost to prefectionist even around distractions such as dogs, sounds and people. Heeling during the walks on & off leash.
Wallace now exhibits calmer behaviour, particularly outdoors, even when provoked by other dogs.
